Workplace office bearers

The AEU is its members. At the workplace, the strength of the sub-branch relies on:

• members acting collectively,
• members being actively involved in democratic workplace decision-making,
• successful handling of grievances, and
• recruitment of new members.

This is called an 'organising' model of unionism. To facilitate this 'organising' process, the sub-branch should form a Workplace Organising Committee (WOC) comprising a number of activists in key roles to share responsibilities.

In the first few days of the school year, call an AEU meeting to form a Workplace Organising Committee and forward details to the AEU office.

Please use one of the forms below (online or downloadable) to let us know your office bearers at the beginning of each year, or whenever positions change.
