Branch Council

Branch Council is the supreme decision making body of the Union, determining policy, setting priorities and appointing Administrative Officers. Branch Council meets four times a year on a Saturday. 

Branch Council is made up of delegates elected annually from Areas, plus TAFE delegates elected from TAFE Divisional Council, plus Branch Executive members.

Area delegate elections are conducted by the Australian Electoral Commission. The election is usually conducted between January and March.

The number of delegates representing each Area is determined based on the number of financial members at 31 October in the preceding year.
